Hey family and friends! We are all facing a difficult season as we navigate life differently because of the Covid-19 virus. I know that I am not the only one in need of prayer. So, if you have anything specifically you want me to pray for you about, please drop me a message. (My contact info is at the bottom of the webpage.)

My doctor says I'm at a high risk for contracting the virus because of the cancer and chemo (which causes me to have low immunity.) I have been in the house since my last chemo. No visitors are allowed (doctor's orders.) Tomorrow will be my next chemo dosage. New rules have been put into effect at the hospital. No family or visitors will be allowed to go with me. My Mom is there every time I have chemo, but tomorrow will be different since no one is allowed to accompany the patient. This is hard for me because I'm used to my Mom being a calming presence for me. On the bright side, after tomorrow, there will be only one more chemo in this round to go!

Once these two chemo treatments are completed, I will be tested. I'll have a pet scan (which will show if there are any cancer cells in my body) and an ultrasound of the tumor area under my left arm. We pray for healing, and we also pray for the Lord's will. I know the Lord can do anything He pleases.

I cannot thank you enough for your ongoing prayers. The Lord is giving me great peace. It's all from Him and about Him. One of my dearest friends sent me a painting she did of an anchor with the lyrics of the song "Come to Me" by Jenn Johnson written within the outline of the anchor. This song has washed over me and been words I want to dwell on daily.

I am the Lord your God, I go before you now I stand beside you I'm all around you

And though you feel I'm far away I'm closer than your breath I am with you More than you know

I am the Lord your peace No evil will conquer you Steady now your heart and mind Come into my rest

And oh, let your faith arise And lift up your weary head I am with you Wherever you go

Come to me, I'm all you need Come to me, I'm everything Come to me, I'm all you need Come to me, I'm your everything

I am your anchor, in the wind and the waves And I am your steadfast, so don't be afraid Though your heart and flesh may fail you I'm your faithful strength And I am with you Wherever you go

Come to me, I'm all you need Come to me, I'm your everything Come to me, I'm all you need Come to me, I'm your everything Don't look to the right or to the left, keep your eyes on me You will not be shaken, you will not be moved I am the hand to hold

Grace & Peace,

Melissa
