Not-So-Expected

As a followup to the last post, there is more to share about the results to my scans. Today was my fifth immunotherapy treatment, and I met with my oncologist. We are still relishing in the news that the cancerous lymph node in my chest wall has decreased in size. However, there is another new piece of information from the scans. A cancerous spot (lymph node) on my neck lit up on the pet scan. It is 3.7mm in size. It is in an area that is far too delicate to biopsy or remove. The oncologist is still optimistic with moving forward with immunotherapy since we see some positive results with the shrinkage of the lymph node in my chest wall. The plan is to continue watching this new site by performing scans every three months. Just wanted to let you know this brief update. As always, thank you for your continued prayers through this journey. It is all in the Lord's hands everyday. I give Him all the glory. He alone is good.

Grace & Peace,

Melissa
